Parents/carers who become a member of the St Columba’s Parent Council have the opportunity to support the school in getting the very best education for all children.  Everyone benefits (children, parents/carers and teachers) when parents and schools work effectively together to support learning.

There is considerable flexibility for the St Columba’s Parent Forum to determine the role of its Parent Council, but there is a focus on four main areas:

• Supporting the school in its work with pupils
• Representing the views of parents
• Promoting contact between the school, parents, pupils, pre-school providers and the wider community
• Reporting to the Parent Forum
